That is what I thought. If HKG-xBKK-BOM, it did not make sense because it should be HKG-BOM instead. If you had HKG-BKK-BOM, i.e. oBKK, changing to HKG-BOM would be a reroute and normally forbidden. You could change to another day because this was not the first segment on your ticket.
