Hi cracla,

I might be able to answer some of your questions having some recent experience on the subject.

Firstly, I believe all the old A330-200s have now gone leaving only the A330-243 model in service which all have the 180 degree flat beds.
There are two types of configuration on the -243s, 2 class and 3 class (see regos below), the 2 class has 22 biz seats and the 3 class 26 biz seats, the 3 class is mostly used on the DUB route.,

Now the best seats for a couple are any of the EF pairs, 5EF 7EF 9EF 11EF (note that 5EF are blocked out until 48 hours prior to departure, except if bookings are heavy), and theres no 11EF on the 2 class model

The EF pairs may seem a little claustrophobic at first but you will get used to it, the big plus is that they are VERY private, you each have your own private entrance-way from opposite aisles, and thats the only exposure you have to the "outside world".

As an aside, the seats on the 332 are the same as on the 773, the 773 just seems roomier because the aisles are wider.

I did notice also that the aisle seats are not very good, but the window seats are just as private as the EF seats.

I see from the seat maps above that EY48 is 2 class (22 biz) while EY41 is 3 class (26 biz) on the dates you specify, I recently flew (3 weeks ago) AUH-DUB-AUH on EY 41/48 in F, so they were both 3 class then.

As for value, they are unbeatable, we paid THB104,230 (incl taxes) per person (thats a little over US$3000 for BKK-AUH-DUB and return, BKK-AUH-BKK was in C Class, and AUH-DUB-AUH was in A Class, incidently we had 9EF on the 773 from/to BKK and 2DG on the 332 to/from DUB.

The 3 class models are registered A6-EYD EYE EYK EYL EYM EYN EYO EYP
and the 2 class models are A6-EYF EYG EYH EYI EYJ EYQ (EYR EYS on order)

You will enjoy the flights, everything is fantastic so book them now as I believe system-wide fare increases may be coming, they have already gone up ex Australia (see seperate thread).
