SFO/LAX - AKL Question

Hi,

Newbie question here: On NZ flights to AKL from SFO and LAX (and rtn), just wondering if the 747-400 services on those runs are "weight-restricted", i.e. they don't sell 100% of the seats due to fuel requirements and weight. I'm wondering because that's how it was (or maybe still is) on QF transpacific 747 flights a few years ago and it meant a little extra room for everyone in Y to stretch out. I would guess the 777 doesn't have that issue because of better range, etc. Anyone know?
