Come on folks, we all know UA can't talk too much about its product. I mean, we do have some great employees, but who's going to agree to get pimped out on a TV ad for free by this mgt? If UA keeps showing its C and F, the masses know they won't sit in those, so the ads won't have desired effect. They can't show A380 or 787 because they haven't ordered any. UA's option for ad topics are limited.

That's probably why UA went the abstract route, to try to create a positive feeling for the brand within viewers, such that when they go to book the tickets they might be influenced subliminally (and not by any adverts showing how wonderful E- is).
