Read everything that I said, not just what is convenient to your reply. No airline allows babies heavier than 30 lbs in bassinets, and I stated what CZ'a requirements are/were (TWNETY TWO POUNDS UNLESS YOU MISSED IT). I merely stated IN ADDITION what the points are rated at. In any case thank you for enforcing my case that the OP will have NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER witha nine month old (so they better grab the bulkhead which you argue so vehemently against).
Furthermore, in your haste to try to show me how worldly you were/are you have made several mistakes. BA under no circumstances will let you use an FAA approved seat. If it doesn't have a CAA stamp, they won't accept it and you can't buy one in the US. Also the Britax they are referring to ARE THE BASSINETS, are mounted SIDEWWAYS on the bassinet tables and are great. Oh, and you need the bulkhead to use them... You have also confirmed that ANA will not accept most car seats sold in the US. You have also confirmed that Cathay will not accept most/all car seats sold in the US. From what you have posted KAL is a mystery.
So to sum it up Asiana (majorairline!) and SQ (better) most probably will accept US sold FAA seats. I could name a couple fo dozen that absolutely will not, but then again I have done so at least a half dozen times over the years on F T when people start throwing in half baked and understood info. Hence why I am a bit testy about this thread. I invire anyone to go back and find the adundant threads that deal with this EXACT same subject (which generally end with on or two of the loudest "You are a bad parent for not buying a seat" and "No car seats are the same everywhere" posters sheepishly admitting that they were wrong, in some cases very wrong and the OP's getting the infor they originally needed.
