2-3 months in to my first BA AMEX year I was keen to get close to the 10K to be able to put the card away but I accidentally passed the 10K today. Not clever.

Two questions:

1. If I cancel this purchase tomorrow and pay it with a different card (possible the merchant accepts this) it should be credited back on my statement in the same month as it is debited. Will this avoid triggering it?

2. If it is triggered, what does this (from the sticky) "The voucher is valid for twelve months; by then you must have flown ALLoutbound segments" exactly mean. If for example i would fly from Moscow to CPT return with stop-over in London, is "all the outbound' then till CPT? I gues yes.
