When I started reading this thread, my first thought was, "wow, I'd rather have AA buy cheap wine, and not raise the upgrade copay by $50". But it seems that all people want is just a little bit of extra money spent on the wine, not $100 bottles of wine, which still results in much higher quality without much cost per passenger. That makes a lot of sense for business (and even more for first), especially considering the importance of J/F competition of TATL routes. Thanks, FTers, for giving me a better perspective on this.
