When using GSAs it's down the the individual GSA as to what they will accept. It does sometimes seem to depend on your status with the airline - for example, I managed to get CX's GSA in Qatar to line up an AONE3 for "credit card on arrival" (doing a same plane turnround), and they claimed that they were only doing this because of my CX Diamond status at the time.
