In the past when I've had an award issued using my miles, for someone other than me, I've had to go to a CTO or airport counter to 'sign over' the miles. The last time I did this it was for an e-ticket on UA. Now I guess I can do this over the phone, have the paper tickets mailed to me (any extra charge for this?) and then mail on the paper tickets to the traveler. Given enough leadtime I'm ok with this as it saves me a trip to the airport.

All of my personal, non-UA/Star Alliance awards have been paper tickets mailed to me.
