As an active business flyer I should have known better, I just thought I was upgrading with miles on 3K ticket no less, to LHR via AMS, not the case: no points, no miles, no bonus --*my* fault too. Since the folks at world perks customer service have always taken a little pity on me (very rarely have I written them and groveled) they cut me a break...but be careful if you think you are going to get EQM etc., for you are not going to receive these "perks."

If flying with family etc. or one is loaded with EQM's and is looking just to burn miles its a good deal, for sure. By the by, customer service at NW told me it would be a year at least (from November 2008), before things are worked out with Delta....on the FF stuff: perhaps this is just rumor but Skymiles (and this I know first hand), is not exactly the kind of program I like (I ran, with all due speed!) from Delta when I left the NE and moved to the Midwest: horrible airline *after* de-regulation, lousy equipment (MD-80 is worse than the DC-9 in the Delta config which is the "sardine configuration") everything else can be understood by one word (from top to bottom) when dealing with Delta Airlines ---SURLY

I am really going to miss NWA!

Um ... let us get this straight. You purchased a ticket (not an upgrade) with miles (not a combination of miles and cash) and were expecting to accrue RDM/EQM/EQS when traveling on it? I don't think anyone on this board would expect that (apart from certain irrops situations described in a few other threads), either on NW or any other airline.
