Certainly not. Delta has set divert stations for every type of equipment; all of them are stations with actual Delta personel capable of handling widebodies if applicable.

Delta will not divert any of their aircraft to a station like MSP or MKE except for an emergency situation that requires them to use the next available airport.

If the aircraft can safely fly to a designated divert station, it will.
