switzerland does not stamp passports exiting; entering by train (particularly at basle) about half the time they will stamp your pp. [the last time i exited (by plane) they only looked at the cover of my pp--they did not open it.]
entering france they usually (but not always
) will stamp pp; rarely on exiting.
several times when entering the usa, they have NOT stamped my pp.
France should give you one coming in if you are arriving from outside the Schengen area.
The UK does not have exit control either.
