Second that. I minimize alcohol consumption when flying. In Y and ES I don't drink at all, in WBC perhaps a glass of (dessert) wine at most.

Sorry, again I meant the privilege of selecting preferred seats would be chargeable to non-elites; like at NWA, elites would get it for free. I will correct my earlier post to reflect that.
As for alcoholic beverages, have modified my earlier post to suggest as a compromise that the first round of drinks be free, but all subsequent alcoholic drinks be at a charge.
Thought of another item:
What I would pay for: In-flight broadband access at a reasonable cost (wouuld be willing to pay $9.95 for upto 3 hours, and perhaps $19.95 for 24 hour access, including on connecting flights (like SQ used to offer in the days of Connexion by Boeing). AGain, I would be willing to pay for this in any class of service, not just economy!
