Caught snatches of a Carte Blanche (local TV) program where SAA was getting a grilling for various things like anti-competitive behaviour, overpaid execs, paying hundreds of millions to consultants, etc., etc.

The one snippet that intrigued me was that of the R5.7bn "recapitalisation" R1.something bn (R1.3bn?) was for the Voyager program. Was watching with half an eye but don't think they elaborated. Struck me that they may have accumulated a lot of liabilities with all the miles and free flights that their credit card would have dispensed.

Nice to see that my tax rands are actually buying me something useful for a change. But better use those miles before they bite the bullet and devalue them!
