I look forward to reading in the aviation history books: "2008 was the year that al a carte pricing reaches its absurd peak, with US Airways and United leading the way off the cliff, charging for everything but your blood type. After their Chapter 7 filings in early 2009, the other major carriers returned to profitability and the add-on fees died off quickly." One can always hope, right?
