I'm not sure why someone would want to pick up their own corn... I did it as a job when I was 14 and it's not fun. You get bugs, rain, you get cut from the "tails"... not to mention that you need to know which cobs to pick...

My parents are U pick everything.
Corn, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, apples etc.
Because we are very urbanized, we like the couple of hours every once in a while being with the bugs, hayfever and manure scented fresh air. Unlike a job we do not have to pick in the rain. I like just hanging around with family and friends doing something we will enjoy later.
