I totally agree and you should be able to use the SWU for the entire one-way trip. PLEASE report back. I have used the last 4 for business trips to Asia that have been pretty straight forward but I am planning to use the 2 I just got for travel this year on a similar routing as yours, with stop-over for vacation.
