The water-cleaning UV stirrer has received very poor reviews (check REI.com, for example).
The same company makes better versions, but the one shown in the article is supposedly crappy.
So much for researching the usability of the "gotta have" gadgets...
Seems like they just read a press release from the manufacturer and decided it is a "gotta have" item.
