This is a new concept for me, so I need to ask some rather elementary questions (sorry ) ...

• Which other airlines enjoy the privileged position of 'full control' with redemptions on SQ?
• Why did UA and DL give up 'full control' for their FFP members?
• Why is it in SQ's interest to extend full control over redemptions to some airlines and not to others? This can't be tied just to willingness to pay by partner airlines, because if it is, it would no longer be about SQ stinginess, right? Pure stinginess on SQ's part should mean no airline could pay their way into 'full control' of redemptions on continuation regional flights.

Just trying to get my head wrapped around this ...
