People use amenity kits for different reasons. Some give it to kids, some collect them. Collectables must always be in perfect condition, at least that's the way with stamps, coins, and autographs. A tiny bit of damage and it is near worthless.

At LAX after 9/11, the TSA ripped up all my amenity kits. Should have checked them in. They just seized the toothpaste and threw it away. Maybe I should have withdrew from the line and checked stuff in.

Once I had a small can of corn. TSA seized it because it was a weapon of mass destruction. There is some liquid in it!
