Child pornography should remain illegal, but in terms of ICE enforcement priority, it should rank somewhere near number 1047. They really should focus their effort to keeping narcotics, counterfeit money and products out of the country. I've seen many articles citing terrorist organizations' raising money from these items but not from child pornography.
Quite frankly, what do they expect to glean from laptops anyway that might protect national security? Al Qaeda's newest plan for hijacking airliners?! This is truly a misguided policy that wastes manpower on things with the least significance.
