[b]HK 49

These are confirmed, one-way, North American electronic certificates that are given to 1Ks and UGS every quarter provided they fly 10,000 miles (each quarter). Unlike the 500-mile upgrades, these can be confirmed at the time of booking--it's not necessary to wait for the 100,72, and 48 hour windows.

I'm about to use one for the very first time. I called the 1K desk and agent upgraded my entire itinery, 5 segments with one layover with ONE HK-49. I had thought you need ONE HK-49 for one-way travel, but he insisted that only ONE HK-49 was required to the entire trip. Who's right?
