As a University professor in Boston, I'm sure you're well aware of the fact that raw information is meaningless without intelligent interpretation. Boolean algebra is a powerful tool when applied to offhand comments and unfounded arguments.

Not:
- Things without UL stickers
- Things that other passengers think look like threats
- Things that have funny, not-found-in-the-King-James-Bible writing on them
- Folks with too much cash
- Folks with brown skin
- Folks in the Democrat party
- etc
I agree with all of this except that thing about "UL" stickers. Perhaps I went too far with the "UL" approval on everything. But, I have enough experience with electronics and engineering to know that the device in question was a potential safety hazard.
Like I said when I prefaced my post, most TSA agents are morons, but as you so eloquently wrote: "The TSA needs to be looking for threats to flights. Period. Full Stop." The pseudo-morons did the right thing by prohibiting that "DVD power source."

Oh, I'm the poster boy for complex answers to simple questions. But my point is that you came out of nowhere, with no personal history of interacting with me or the effort I put into my posts. And you throw out some pedantic "cup o' fail" based on your own mis-interpretation of how "UL" approval is registered.
My first inclination is to open a can of whoop-azz on you, but the rational side of me understands that you are probably attention-starved and merely looking for a little intellectual intercourse.
