This was then modified to 'you can open a Platinum account, then maybe in a few months we will invite you to Centurion' (I took this as a Japanese way of saying 'Platinum and that is it').
Then, just the other week, I got a Centurion invite.
Fascinating. You woud think a card that bills itself as a global card would be a bit more organised. This makes me think of HSBC and their "World's local bank" motto, and me thinking "yes, as in, all of the branches are so disconnected from the others that they are entirely local indeed."
