My experience of transferring my UK Centurion card to Japan was somewhat painful. I created a thread about it someone else in this forum.

They first told me that it wasn't possible to transfer a Centurion card into Japan. Nor was it possible to open a Platinum card account. I would have to open a Gold card account and see what happened.

This was then modified to 'you can open a Platinum account, then maybe in a few months we will invite you to Centurion' (I took this as a Japanese way of saying 'Platinum and that is it').

Then, just the other week, I got a Centurion invite.
