That's absolute rubbish. The CO 767 seat is
miles ahead of a domestic AA F seat on a 737/MD80. The key difference being 55" of pitch on CO vs. 38" on AA, and legrests. The seats recline far enough that you can sleep on your side.

This is a fair point, obviously CO's BusinessFirst has remained very competitive despite most of the fleet only offering old-style recliners with slightly less pitch/recline than most of the key competition. The differentiation is a higher level of service/catering -- more FAs-to-pax, better/more food, etc.
But can you really see AA meaningfully improving the soft product in this environment?
