I'd much rather fly a 757 nonstop to [name a smaller destination in Europe] than have to connect via LHR. From NY I guess I could go via BRU as well, but that means coach on the intra-europe leg as upgrades aren't valid and discounted biz fares aren't usually valid on the codeshares either. Look at the number of cities DL and CO serve nonstop. DL is still using mostly 767s because they had tons of them, but I think they're probably finding themselves with a lot of excess capacity this year, so things could change. But I think CO seems to do well to most cities with the lower-capacity 757.

Well, they're not getting THIS new seat. They're still looking for a full-flat seat that will fit on the 767 without diminishing capacity, as they have found for the 757/777. And there's also speculation that they'll be getting rid of many of the 767s once the 787s begin to arrive.
