I've been using my 8320 with H@H UMA in the UK since December. It works and I'm not using a US proxy. My IP location shows UK. It's still a little glitch from time to time, but it's great when it works.
Happy to hear it works for you...perhaps there might be a difference with the H@H implementation on the BB. I used the early Nokia UMA phone given to people as part of the initial roll-out. My problems could also stem from being behind the Great Firewall for most of my attempts and being at public hotspots during my other tries at UMA in Asia.
