I would like to echo that: if the silver card criteria is waived on revenue consideration that is more acceptable. If you get silver card just because you apply for the CX AE card, as the thread suggested at the beginning, it is certainly diluting the value of the premium tiers of MPC.
That I agree, it is not fair for the regular passengers who actually paid and flew on CX to gain their status just because their annual salaries are high enough to qualify as a CX AMEX Elite credit card owner. Even a complimentary MPC green membership I find it is unfair for the other green members who paid the $50 enrollment fee. I think CPLP should review why is there such an enrollment fee and what is that good for (especially when just being the CX credit member will waive the enrollment fee)? Maybe someone can better answer that.
