Their packaging has some "product of Cuba" guarantee sticker, but also European tax tags for alcohol/tobacco, which I think is good proof that I didn't get the items in Cuba and carried them all around the world.
I mean how am I supposed to know that they come from Cuba ? The made-in-Cuba sticker is written in Spanish and speaking that language is not mandatory in the US yet.
Per the US Govt:
Goods from "Communist Cuba" = illegal, regardless of where purchased.

Goods from "Communist China" = legal, you're welcome to bring back all of your Chinese Cigar's and Run
You could always just slap a made in China label on it, plenty of them around. A few other options include (a) bring the goods back as-is (b) simply removing the label, (c) enjoying the cigar's and rum abroad, or (d) discarding the cigar's and rum abroad....
Should you bring them back to the states and CBP locates the rum and/or cigars, I suspect you'd be saying goodbye to the the goods at the very least. Not sure if they'd do anything else along the lines of issuing a fine, etc.

I wouldn't want to find myself in that situation.
I like PTravel's suggestion
