and if you buy a box, don't travel with them in the box as you can't get the label off the box . if you get a good tobacconist, they will offer to remove the labels for you and give you a "generic" (i.e. "legal") box to put the cigars in. now me on the other hand, i just have my cousin wrap the box with wrapping paper and stick a card on it with goalie-dad's name on it wishing him a happy birthday. i'll simply play dumb if caught and let them be taken but in the 3 times i've done it, i've never lost one and "goalie-dad (oops, i mean i have) has enjoyed his birthday present" )
