Hmm, my wife and I are staying at the Cleveland Ren soon for our anniversary as Gold, - they've already upgraded us automatically to club level without us asking or doing anything beyond reserving the room online.

Given that, is it still kosher to ask about upgrades at checkin? The Cleveland Ren does seem to have a *lot* of suites for its size, as mentioned above. Thus, I'd think that if they have some free and I mention it's a "special" stay, they might do something for us - would this be logical?

I figure the worst that happens is they say no - and we have CL access in any event. Even if they can't upgrade me, I might ask for an outward-facing room, apparently the inward-facing rooms at the Cleveland Ren aren't all that hot view-wise? Thanks anyone for your input - seems there are some people here who are familiar with Cleveland properties!
