Print ONCE? This only makes sense in some weird world where there are no photocopiers, the "print" dialog cannot be set to produce more than one copy, and PDFs cannot be saved to disk and printed over and over again. Basically, the tax code is about 5 decades out of date?
Besides, I can't sign a document that states that the original copies no longer exist, because they very well may exist somewhere. I can't vouch for their destruction... I simply misplaced them, if I ever had them in the first place.
Finally - aren't plane tickets VAT-exempt?
But not to get sidetracked... I don't really need an official Quittnung, I just need something I can wave in the face of our auditors in case they ask. In the US that can even mean a handwritten piece of paper. It's refreshing to see the liberal application of common sense throughout the American bureaucratic machine - and I say that as a European. ESPECIALLY as a European I guess.
