Fancy new skymap graphics on domestic flight
I flew back to LHR from MAN yesterday on the 1530, which was an Airbus A321. The crew activated the skymap after takeoff. On such a short flight I rarely bother to take any notice of it, but on this particular one I notice some very fancy new graphics had been introduced, including picture-in-picture to show a detailed local map together with a world map on the same screen and some really flash new graphics of the aircraft and a 360 degree camera effect showing the routing. All of this in far superior quality graphics to what we’re used to seeing.
Has anyone else seen this? Or am I miles behind and it’s old news?!
