Right now I have reserved a room at both properties for about the same rate - regular room at Renaissance with breakfast for two (but I might get upgraded to a suite?) or 1 bedroom Villa at the Grande Vista.
I expect very good treatment at a Renaissance as a Platinum - what about at the Grande Vista, which is a Vacation Club property? I don't think I have every stayed at a MVCI property as a gold or platinum.
Just looking for a couple of more opinions from those familiar with these properties. I hope to have at least some time to enjoy the recreational facilities so would like a comparison of the two properties in that regard as well.
I live in Orlando and the Renaissance is SO nice. No if's but's or no's. PM me if you want details. BUT, and this is a HUGE but, if you are going to most of the time out at the parks, take the cheaper hotel. You will NOT be spending much time at your hotel when you are in Orlando. Too much to do and so little time to do it. I live here, I should know.
