Forgive the newbie question, but I've been out of the loop and away from FT for a while while out on deployment, and apparently brain-dumped all my UA MP knowledge.

Anyways, I've got a couple of (Type A?) CS travel certs (PMO/DOLLARUA) and a couple of B vouchers from a VDB and a refare. With my travel dramatically decreased due to a new work schedule/position, I most likely won't be able to use them before they expire.

I'd like to send them to a buddy so that he can get some use out of them, or go to my local airport and apply them to to his held reservation(s).

I called UA and they said that I could go to the airport and use them, but I'd have to pay the remaining balance on his ticket at the time of voucher redemption - something I'd rather not do. Can someone tell me if there's a better way of doing this?
