I think this is a more applicable reason. I travel with an electric wheelchair and the DOT requirements are 13 pages just on disabled passengers rights. A far cry from the 7 - 8 paragraphs in AA Conditions of Carriage. I doubt anyone would be able to read a document covering every situation. And Yes AA.s CofC is a one sided relationship "putting us in a genuine underdog position". But by copying DOT reg's and carrying with me, puts me more in charge.
