Spoke to an RBC Visa Customer Care agent a couple days ago about the Avion sign-up bonus and we got talking about the partner BAEC. She indicated that its up to BA to initiate the currently bi-annual promo but it looked pretty good for a Fall 2008 one - to commence either August 15 or September 15 and running for 6 weeks. ^ Nothing official yet though since they only receive promo info at the end of each month to take effect the following month.

One point of interest is that the RBC -> BAEC transfer is processed manually which apparently causes quite a bit of grief for the RBC agents should the points not post in 3 days or so.
