Shareholder, I agree with you. Don't know why you quoted me as if to correct me, when that's exactly what my post says too. "What matters is the operating carrier." "UA posting goes by the metal, not the code." "what matters is the operating carrier and flights post as the operating carrier."

A UA codeshare on AC metal posts as AC. An AC codeshare on UA metal posts as UA.


My "It makes a huge difference" referred to "which are you talking about, I don't know if you are asking about AC code on UA or UA code on AC"; it did not refer to "the code makes a difference as to how it posts" - in my experience on *A carriers, it is ONLY the operating carrier and the mapped operating carriers "real" booking class that matters. Sorry for any confusion.
