I am not sure changing chains will help unless they ONLY use non-feather pillows.

Sounds like you are complaining to the right people after the fact... and doing all you can before the fact.

I know your frustration; I also prefer non feather (but not allergic) and hate going through the aggravation of having to get changed when I arrive at a hotel.
