So I booked an award WBC flight last night MSP-DUS, via DTW, for my wife. I'll be flying paid WBC via my travel office (which I need to book today). We're both lowly SEs.

Right now our routing on the award ticket is as follows:

Sept 20 return Sept 30 MSP-DUS

NW758 MSP-DTW 5:10pm
NW94 DTW-DUS

NW93 DUS-DTW
NW755 DTW-MSP



I called my travel office, their system won't let me book NW758 at 5:10pm, however, it will allow me to take NW746 at 5:00pm. I figure no problem, surely I can change the MSP-DTW segment. Both flights are WIDE open.

I tried changing it online, I was wrong, it wanted $50 and 50,000 extra miles.

What's the best way to change NW758 to NW746? Seems like the only two choices are nwa.com support, which I think will be a dead end, but the phone system really really really wants to send me to them, or Int'l awards desk, which I can't seem to find my way to.
