I was also really impressed by my brief foray with CX's regional product, well it wasn't entirely the case as we flew HKG-BKK-SIN with a few days in between and they put the 747 on the flights, so longhaul F seat on a 2hr flight! Bit of a novelty, plus on the BKK-SIN sector we were the only F passengers and the service was exemplary ^
