I am not so sure about this, I would definitely rate OS higher for the generally better service and food and drink offerings. I also think that LH are better in shorthaul C even though the meal is genrally cold, it tends to be better quality than most CE meals, both OS and LH also guarantee 2-2 seating.

Like the OP I think that CX regional J is great for short flights. I am not sure I would be so enthusiastic on some of the longer routes it flies though like DXB and Oz.
