i waited too long to book my summer flights home from dulles to see my mom and ended up having to fly to maui, take the ferry to oahu and back and then depart from maui. it was the better part of $400 less per person for 4 people to fly there instead of HNL. so it more than paid for our hotel, car and food for the few days we spent there + the $69/person ferry
