I will be visiting the Cleveland Marriott Key Center for 4 nights to attend a conference. Including the wife and kids there will be 4 of us, so we need two beds. This will be our first visit to this property and our first to any full-scale Mariott since my wife became Gold (I am a lowly silver).

Since we are not familiar with this hotel we are wondering what we should ask for in order to get the best room that maximizes our experience (are there certain room numbers or features to ask for?). What is the best way to communicate our room preferences (e-mail hotel in advance, call?). We assume that we will get concierge level because of gold status, but beyond that we aren't sure what to ask for and expect.
