I'm trying to use AAdvantage miles to book a business award to Cusco, Peru.
A couple questions:
1) I signed up for a LAN account-- if I see availability using their booking tool, does that generally mean that AA will also have access to that inventory? I know UA is notorious for screening out flights on their *A partners and am wondering if AA does a similar type thing.
2) From reading on here it looks like open-jaws are permitted for AAdvantage awards but I'm wondering if this would be a legal open jaw or not:
SFO-JFK-LIM-CUZ and then on the return CUZ-LIM-JFK-WAS.
Thanks in advance for your help!!!
1. It's the partner that determines availability, not AA, AFAIK
2. This is not an open jaw, and it is also legal... assuming you are planning on going to IAD, DCA, or BWI
Do you never plan to get back to SFO? I believe that WAS could be included as a stopover to SFO, but I am not sure
