Their "Max-Rate Checking" product requires either a $5k minimum balance or a $200 monthly direct deposit to avoid a fee.
Does anybody know if a $200 monthly ACH deposit from another bank (like ING Direct) would qualify as direct deposit? What if I set up a monthly "roundtrip" so that on the first of each month I deposit $200 in eTrade and a week later I move it back to ING?
Also, does E*Trade provide postage-paid envelopes for mailing in deposits or do you have to pay for your own stamp?
