I doubt AC will match but they might lower their price. EZE is one of AC's busiest and profitable routes. AC's selling point is no transiting via US. Plus most tourists visiting from Argentina will not want to transit via US because the application for a Visa is over a $120USD and that's no guarantee it will be accepted.
