They permitted use of the lavs once we landed. And the SD was even kind enough to turn the IFE back on.
Last summer I was going YVR to YEG on the last flight of the night. We are on final approach kind of rough lightning in the distance, not too far off the ground and I'm nodding off. All of the sudden the pilot guns the engines banks SHARP right I look out my window to see the roof of the YEG terminal building below!
We continue climbing and heading east for a while when the pilot comes on and says that as were we about to land the wind shifted to behind us and the landing had to be aborted. We were then told we would 'vector until we lined up with the other runway'.
Of course by then the storm starts and now we spend 45 mins on the tarmac
Thankfully we did get the IFE turned on as well.
