Okay, I hope I didn't just screw up. I need to rent a car for 2-3 days while mine is in the body shop. Due to changes in schedules I need to pick it up earlier this morning than I had originally planned. So, I called Budget (gulp) and asked if I could change it to 10:00 rather than 3:00 PM. The rep asked me which airline I was flying in on. I said Delta (I'm not flying though) and then she asked if I had the flight number. I said I didn't it. Should I be worried? Why did she ask that do you think?
Man, I am going to be totally bummed if this does not work out. Oh..by the way, when I made this reservation through the Delta/iseatz link my printer messed up and I didn't get a print of the page. To make matter worse, I never got a confirmation via email because Budget's computers were fubar.

No need to lie about having a flight. Just show up early. As long as they have cars available and you return it within 24 hours of pickup, you shouldn't have a problem. I had to pick up one of my three cars several hours early.
